On this page we will show you how to use data forms to create your own IT Service Catalog within Confluence.

Precondition

Import the following templates (Data Forms templates - How to export and import templates):

Add Service Entries to your space

  1. Open a space for which you have admin permission (e.g. your IT Service Catalog space)

  2. Click on the Data Forms button in the left menu

  3. Click on the Create data form button, select the Service Entry element

    1. Fill in the form (e.g. with one named jira.evolu.internal)

    2. press save

  4. Repeat Step 3 several times

After that you have created several service entries, which are displayed in the table.

Add a Service Entry Overview page

  1. Click on the Create button to create a new page (within your IT Service Catalog space)

  2. Add the “Data Form View Space Table Macro” macro

  3. Click edit on the added macro

    1. Select “Service Entry” within “Data Form Template”

  4. Click Publish to publish the page

You will see that all service entries of the space are displayed on this page.

Create a page for a specific Service Entry

  1. Click on the Create button to create a new page (within your IT Service Catalog space)

  2. Switch the Layout to “Left sidebar”

  3. Add the “Data Forms View Space Macro” macro to the right section

  4. Click edit on the added macro

    1. Select a Data Form attached to the space (e.g. the Data Form named jira.evolu.internal)

Extend the page to see all attached Changes

  1. Add the “Children Display” macro to the left section

  2. Add the “Data Forms Table Macro” macro to the left section

  3. Click edit on the added “Data Forms Table Macro” macro

    1. Select “Request for Change” within “Data Form Template”

  4. Click Publish to publish the page

  5. Add some Changes by clicking the Create button within the rendered “Data Forms Table Macro

  6. Add child pages with more details about your Desaster Recovery Plan, …

As you can see, all information about a service entry are shown on one page.
