Software Licenses - Sample Configuration

It can be difficult to keep track of all your tools as the number of licensed software in your organization grows. This sample shows you how to manage all your software tools and licenses with data forms.

 

Precondition

Import the following templates (https://aevolu.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DFC/pages/2368667649 ):

  • Software License - Multi user

Ensure you have created the following Fields (https://aevolu.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DFC/pages/1991311376)

  • Status (Select Field)

  • Since (Date Field)

  • Till (Date Field)

  • Contacts (Multi User Picker)

  • Users (Multi User Picker)

 

Add a Software License to your Space

  1. Open a space for which you have admin permission

  2. Click on the Data Forms button in the left menu

  3. Click on the Create data form button, select the Software License - Multi User element

    1. Fill in the form

    2. press save

 

 

Add more Software Licenses to your Space

  • Use the above procedure to add more software licenses

 

Create an overview page

  1. Click on the Create button to create a new page

  2. Add the “Data Forms View Space Table Macro” macro

  3. Click edit on the added “Data Forms Table Macro” macro

    1. Select “Software License - Multi User” within “Data Form Template”

    2. Select “Status“, “Since“, and “Contacts“, within “Fields to show“

  4. Click Publish to publish the page
