How-to use Metadata Workflow Postfunctions
Starting with version 4.8.0, Jira admins can choose from three workflow postfunctions
Through our three Postfunctions you can:
Copy a project-related Metadata value to a field of the issue
Copy an assignee-related Metadata value to a field of the issue
Copy a reporter-related Metadata value to a field of the issue
If there is an error during the postfunction, the error is written to the server logs and the transition will not be interrupted.
Metadata : Copy Project Metadata Value Post Function
After selecting “Metadata : Copy Project Metadata Value Post Function” you can adjust the postfunction with the following parameters
Parameter | Note |

Metadata name | The value is read from this Metadata. |
Jira Issue Field | The value is written to this field of the issue. |
Metadata : Copy Assignee Metadata Value Post Function
